System architecture

There is a clear separation of entities like subscriber, mailing list, newsletter, campaign.

The basic entities are the subscriber and the newsletter. Everything else is derived from them.

A subscriber is someone from whom you have at least an email address (and much more).

The mailing list is simply a grouping of subscribers.

The newsletter is the content that you send.

The campaign is the activity of sending: any newsletter can be send to any mailing list (or a combination of lists)

You can have unlimited subscribers, newsletters, mailing lists and campaigns.

nuevoMailer offers 3 types of opt-out links: List opt-out, Global opt-out, Update account link.

The html editor has a special button to apply such links. You have complete control of the wording of these links

You can ask subscriber the reason for opting out and this is saved and you can see it in your admin panel.

All opt-outs are saved in the opt-outs table in detail.

In addition when a subscriber voluntarily opts-in using a form in your website he is automatically removed from the opt-outs table.

Create as many lists as you need.

Copy subscribers between lists, utilities to add/remove to a list.

Lists can be set as public/hidden. When hidden they do not appear in the "Subscriber area".

List traffic report: how many opt-in via your forms or click an opt-out link.

With filters you can segment subscribers based on demographic data (e.g. come from the same city),

birthdays, clicks/views tracking behavior, subscribed after a given date and more.

Using filters you can do A/B split list testing.

You can combine/merge filters as you need.

You can apply filters to a campaign to pick only subscribers that fit the filter criteria.

When using filters your original lists remain intact. You only focus to a sub-group of the list.

Scenario: you want to send a new campaign to subscribers coming from a particular state/country, subscribed after a given date, and did not click a specific link in an earlier campaign => it is possible!

You can collect (or import) subscriber birthdays.

There is a notification in your home page when you have subscribers with birthdays.

Using a special birthday filter you can send daily happy-birthday newsletters.

With the nuevo Campaign scheduler you can schedule and automate happy-birthday mailings.

One-click follow-up campaigns: with an easy to use menu you create new campaigns for subscribers who opened (or not), clicked (or not) in a previous campaign.

In the same way you can create new lists. Example: you want a list with subscribers who clicked a specific link in a campaign or did not open the mail at all etc.

nuevoMailer records subscription dates. Via the use of filters you can pick subscribers at a certain number of days after they subscribe (e.g.3rd, 7th, 9th).

You can create specific newsletters and campaigns for each day.

With the scheduler add-on of nuevoMailer you can automate these mailings on daily basis.

Not sure about the requirements?

If you are on a shared hosting plan then what you need is a Linux hosting plan with a mySQL database.

If you are looking at a Windows hosting plan then make sure it includes PHP and mySQL.

You must ask your host whether they will allow bulk mailing and at what rate. nuevoMailer offers batch sending and SMTP anti-flood options that will enable you to respect your host's limits.

More technical details: PHP version: greater than 5.2. Does not use any planned-to-be-deprecated for PHP 6.0 functions.

mySQL greater than 5.0. Uses the PHP improved mysqli connector. The old connector is also supported.
